Effective from July 1st 2017:

Lockyer Community Centre will be introducing an additional basic budgeting service within the Emergency Relief Program structure.

This additional service will be rolled out from this date to establishing Friday sessions, having a main focus on providing basic budgeting incorporating regular ER service.

The Emergency Relief program provided is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

It is aimed at helping people in an emergency financial crisis by providing financial or material aid, as well as connecting them with services to assist in building financial resilience and capacity.

Client seeking assistance from the Emergency Relief Program are required by the Department of Social Services to produce current ID.  This can be in the form of a current Drivers Licence, Centrelink Health Care Card, Medicare Card, Bank Key Card or current Utilities Account.

Assistance can only be given to client if they provide the appropriate ID.         No ID -  No Assistance

Attendance at a session does not automatically qualify the client for assistance being given.
Assistance is assessed on the clients current situation as they present on the day.
Assistance is dependant on the program not having exceeded budget for that period.

Emergency Relief times are from 1.30 pm to 3.15 pm, no clients will be accepted after this time.
